This is a big, one screen theater. The theater itself is clean and the screen is beautiful. The sound system isn't as advanced as other nearby options. The concession area is small and can get backed up on a busy night. But I still enjoy the huge theater for a summer popcorn movie.

I love this theater and miss it terribly because I've moved away! The seats are comfortable and the sound is state of the art. It brings back lots of memories from my youth growing up in Marin. Pick a seat in the middle, just back of the middle speakers on the wall to your right and your left. The speakers behind you will give you the surround sound effect and the speakers in front and the middle will put you right in the center of the action! Highly recommend it! sit back and enjoy! popcorn is good too!

I have been going to this theater since it first opened many years ago.
I have seen it through good days and bad.
I am pleased to say that the major remodel of the auditoriums is a huge plus.
The new leather recliners are extremely comfortable and add to the movie going experience.
The only negative is the overall number of seats in each auditorium has been greatly reduced.
So, if it is opening weekend for a popular movie,the chances of movies selling out are much higher.
Another new change is reserved seating.
You choose your seat when you buy your tickets, either online or at the box office.
The only time that they enforce assigned seating is when demand requires it.
Opening weekend, assigned seating is enforced.
A mid-week matinee when the theater is only about 1/4 full, sit where you like.
In early 2018, they will finish the remodel of the theater. The concessions area is getting a facelift and a bar is being installed.

My favorite Marin theater. Huge screen, superior extra-clear surround sound system, comfortable seats, excellent friendly staff, fresh tasty popcorn. Lots of free parking right at the theater. Early bird first matinee $7.50 tickets. Very clean restrooms. Super convenient location right off Highway 101, one block from Book Passage, which is really nice if you get there a little early, as we did yesterday to see "Sully," which is well worth seeing. Tom Hanks directed by Clint Eastwood. How could you go wrong?
This theater makes going to a movie a real pleasure.

Is this the BEST movie theater in Marin? Yes, it is!!! It is best place to see a movie because it's Marin's largest screen and it has a terrific Dolby sound system.

Seats are okay and the cleanliness is, so-so, but the staff are really friendly.

Sadly, it may be closed sometime in the near future to make way for apartments. Large movie theaters like this are now archaic and considered a waste of space. I say, support our film industry and specifically theaters like Century Cinema. Go see your movies here Go buy your popcorn here and if you like them buy some bon bons. But mostly, support the theaters or you will only have Netflix, Amazon and other streaming services to choose from.

This is the largest movie theater in Marin county that I’m aware of. If you’re seeing a movie that could benefit a big screen, this is the preferred theater to see it. Such as good for viewing of Star Wars, Avengers or movies like Arrival or Gravity.
It has good sound system and great film projector. I think the projectionist only need to control one projector here, I have never had a problem with the projectionist making mistakes while playing 4-7 movies in a multiplex theaters near by.
It was announced to be closed and the theater/land is sold to a developer to build condominium or shopping complex, but do not know what they will officially close down.
I know that Mill Valley film festival shows their high demand festival screening here.
People were suspecting that George Lucas who appreciates an old time experience of going to movies has been financially supporting this theater to stay in business even though it may have not making any profit showing movies here by century theater.

As the last large movie screen in the county, this is a gem to hold onto. Unfortunately, the last rumor I heard the owners are considering selling the property for developing into a similar WinCup monstrosity just down the street.
Lots of money has been spent to upgrade all the interiors and infrastructure. The seats are comfy, the screen is clear, the sound is great. It handles all the big budget premiers so make sure to buy your tickets early.
